Valerie’s vocal style is versatile and dynamic.  Some of her experiences include; vocal soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Fever, and event soloist for the American Pianist Association.

Valerie has participated in numerous jazz events, including the Indy Jazz Fest, Indy Parks Jazz Series, Carmel International Arts Festival and also performs for community churches, and special music events.  She has worked alongside her husband the legendary musician Kenny Phelps for the past few years and recently started to emerge as a solo artist.
 

Kenny and Valerie host and organize entertainment based events for Owl Music Group. Their exciting and engaging events appeal to numerous audiences nationally. They are not only entertainers, but mentors to aspiring up and coming young artists.
